Hi guys!
I’m very pleased to announce the start of the la Chica Fantasma storyline, something that I (predominantly) wrote back in 2011, and now finally get to share with people other than Tom (and a couple of other close friends).
There’s a point a few pages in in which I began this story, but at the time I couldn’t think of a good way to start events off within the story, so I asked Tom if he had any ideas for how to start this comic off. He did indeed. So the first three pages (after this one) were written by Tom for the most part, then from then on it’s (almost) all written by me.
It’s the best thing I’ve done in comics thus far, and also the most personal thing I’ve written for comics up to this point. It’s been a heckuva lot of fun to work on this storyline, and I hope it turns out enjoyable for you guys to read. I guess we shall see eh? Heeheeheee.
I’m tempted to waffle on more about this story (and its titular character), but there’ll be plenty of opportunity for me to elaborate further on it over the course of its run, so for now I’ll just leave you with a suggestion for a bit of appropriatly creepy auditory accompaniment for this title page.
Your internet-viewing-device is now haunted, btw.

EDIT: The previous comic isn’t showing up now, for some damn reason. Not to worry though — until this glitch gets fixed you can see the comic here.
Issue now fixed!
well ain’t that a fimiliar-looking spirit XD
…
I’m wondering if you’re going to put easter eggs in the comics now @-@
Putting Easter eggs into my comics is something I’ve been doing since I started doing comics, pretty much, so it’s a tradition I’ve carried on into C&M ;)
I’m so excited to finally unleash Chiquita on the world!
The feeling is, of course, mutual. My word have I had this character percolating away in me noggin for a long time now; until now manifesting herself in mere glimpses here and there (plus lots of convos with you, and a few close friends, but mainly you, obvs.).
But first, before our formal introduction to la Chica-Nereida Fantasma in this story we have some scene-setting ouija-aided tomfoolery that Mr. Szewc here came up with to start this story off.
Some truly inspired scene-setting ouija-aided tomfoolery, imo.
Goshwowohboyohboy! I can hardly wait for the tale to begin. Fantastic stage setting…
Thank you kindly Fredcritter!
One could say that this is a… Fantasma-ic stage setting, even, yeah?
Ha-HAW, sorry. That is a pun that ought to be taken out the back and SHOT.
