I didn’t even realise this until yesterday, but Chiquita in panel three is doing a bit of a “Martin Sheen rising from the water in Apocalypse Now” kind of thing.

Yeah, the colour palette I’ve chosen for C&M night scenes is a riff on Hollywood Darkness.
My name for ‘Quita’s ghostly green glow is “ectoglow”, which I came up with when labeling the layer said glow was on in some old piccy of Chiquita from a few years back, if memory serves me correctly…
That “aaaaawwwww” moment. ♥
I guess I just can’t help the inherently sappy side of myself from leaking into these things occasionally.
